Leonard Sudermann

Mr. Sudermann is and for the past five years has been, Founder, President and a Director of Securex Financial Corp. and President of Securex GP Ltd., general partner of Securex, which is also the general partner of Securex Master Limited Partnership. Prior to founding the company, Mr. Sudermann co-founded and was a partner in the Metropol Emergency Response Centre (MERC), a limited partnership with Metropol Security Ltd. in 1986.

He served as the General Manager of MERC from 1986 to 1988 before becoming President. Mr. Sudermann was also instrumental in founding Metropol Financial Services (MFS), a general partnership established in 1988. He was a partner in MFS and served as its President until 1999.

Timothy G. Whyte, CA

Since 1996, Mr. Whyte has been the President of Simpson’s Num-Ti-Jah Lodge Ltd. Mr. Whyte also manages investment holdings through Royal Griffin Ventures Inc., a private holding company. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator.


George Fink, CA

Mr. Fink is currently a Director, President and Chief Executive Officer of a group of sister companies and trust: Bonterra Energy Income Trust and Comaplex Minerals Corp., both TSX listed companies, and Pine Cliff Energy Ltd., a TSX Venture Exchange Company. Mr. Fink also serves as a Director of the Small Explorers and Producers Association of Canada and the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers. Mr. Fink is a Chartered Accountant.

Donald H. McPherson, CFA, MBA

Don McPherson, a founding partner of J.F. Mackie & Company Ltd., currently serves as a Director and Investment Advisor.

Prior to J.F. Mackie, Mr. McPherson was an Investment Advisor and the Branch Manager for National Bank Financial Corporation, and previously for First Marathon Securities Ltd. He began his career in the investment industry as an Investment Advisor for Charlton Securities Ltd., an investment dealer, which became Majendie Charlton Securities Ltd., and was purchased by Canadian Western Bank in 1997.

Mr. McPherson is currently Chairman of the Board of Windspring Inc., a private technology company based in San Jose, California.

He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.

Dean Setoguchi

Dean Setoguchi is currently Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Keyera Facilities Income Fund, an oil and gas infrastructure fund. Mr. Setoguchi is a Chartered Accountant and has been an executive officer and founder of several TSX listed oil and gas companies over the past 18 years. Mr. Setoguchi also serves as a member of the University of Lethbridge Board of Governors.

Dave Richards

David has extensive public practice experience with mergers, acquisitions, purchase investigations, restructuring and financial engineering.

In 1995 David left Arthur Andersen and Co. to start Burin Capital Corporation, a venture capital company specializing in early stage private companies requiring growth and or expansion capital and financial expertise. Burin provided advisory services and conducted financial analysis on prospective investments including due diligence reviews, which were done for Burin's own account, prior to making an investment, and, on a selective basis, on behalf of third parties. Burin also provided services as an intermediary in arranging funding for projects in which it was not an investor.

Since 1997, David has been the President of Network Capital Inc., a Calgary based investment management company focused on private equity, which identifies and creates early stage opportunities in energy, energy services, real estate and special situations. In addition to direct investments in each of the target sectors, Network deploys capital in situations where it is able to sponsor restructurings and recapitalizations. Network is proactive in deal generation and structuring of transactions where it can assist entrepreneurs in executing their business plans.

David is a Past President of the Alberta Chamber of Commerce and a past Vice President of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce and over the years has served numerous community-minded charitable organizations. He currently serves on the board of First National Alarmcap Income Fund, Oil Optimization Inc., Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities Inc. and Realex Properties Corp.
